【Abstract】 Objective To explore work stressors and degrees of exhaustion in psychiatric nurses,and to understand the effects of stress on their psychosomatic health.Methods Stress status and psychosomatic degrees of exhaustion were investigated and analyzed in 113 psychiatric nurses with the Chinese Nurse Job Stressors Questionnaire(CNJSQ) and MBI.Results The first ten stressors of the CNJSQ’s 35 items were problems of nursing specialties’ and patient care aspects. There was no significant difference in degrees of exhaustion caused by stress between psychiatric nurses and normal(P>0.05), which was moderate.Conclusion Stressors of psychiatric nurses are mainly from customers and psychiatric nursing specialties and effects of stress mediocre. Suggestion: Such measures are effective to lower occupational stress and decrease psychosomatic exhaustion as cadres’ attention and affectional support to nursing services, active coping style, harmonious working atmosphere and favourable safe equipment.
